Electoral polls permeate the premiere, which features a series of short videos explaining what they are, how they originated, how they are developed, and what terms like sampling, margin of error, and reliability percentage mean. The episodes also explain when to trust an electoral poll, as well as the difference between a survey and a poll.
Participating in the clarifications on the topic were Fabiana Luci de Oliveira, a professor in the Department of Sociology (DS) and active in the areas of Sociology of Law, Research Methodology, Surveys, and Public Opinion, and José Carlos Fogo, a professor in the Department of Statistics (DEs) at UFSCar, whose research area involves Statistical Probability.
